Sacred Prayer to Mother Earth in Times of Despair
If you can, go outside and stand with your bare feet on the ground. Feel the earth beneath you. Let the cool soil or soft grass connect you to something deeper. Close your eyes, breathe slowly, and allow the energy of the earth to flow through you. Let it remind you that you are held, grounded, and part of something vast and ancient.
This is not about praying to a God or Goddess, but about asking the intelligent life force that is Mother Earth—of which you are a living part—for help and support. You are part of nature, and you are one of her children.
Mother of all life, I come to you now, your child, tired and aching, seeking the warmth of your embrace. In your endless wisdom and ancient grace, hear the quiet cry of my heart. I am in pain, Mother, and I turn to you
as a child seeks the shelter of their mother’s arms.
Mother, I lay down my sorrow at your feet, for I cannot bear it alone. Let your healing rain wash over me, your winds carry away this ache. May your roots grow through my spirit, holding me steady in this storm.
You, who lights the stars in the sky, who breathes life into the mountains and the seas, I ask for your strength when mine is gone. Wrap me in the sacredness of your presence, let me feel your heartbeat through the earth beneath me.
In your vastness, I find refuge, in your stillness, I seek peace. Teach me to be like your mountains, standing tall, even in the face of hardship. Teach me to be like your oceans, deep and calm, even when chaos surrounds.
Mother, guide me back to myself, hold me in your nurturing arms, comfort me with your ancient song.and remind me that I am always safe and loved.
